The World of Warcraft TCG Class Starter Decks are a hobby exclusive product intended to help introduce new players to the game, the random loot element will encourage sampling and current players will want to get a deck or two for the new quests and allies.

There are 18 different decks, one for each class and faction combination (9 original classes, Death Knights aren't represented). Each deck is playable out of the box, 60 cards + Hero. Packaged along with each deck is a rules sheet and a crafting card the possibility of a loot card. A majority of the cards are reprinted from previous expansions, however there are some new quests and unique allies included in each deck.

Magic's October 2010 large set, code-named "Lights," is called Scars of Mirrodin. Standard now rotates only once each year, with the release of the October large set. So Scars of Mirrodin will enter Standard on its release and Shards of Alara block and Magic 2010 will leave. The Standard format after the release of Scars of Mirrodin will consist of Zendikar Block, Magic 2011, and Scars of Mirrodin.

Gold Series 3 also includes most of the Amazoness cards, originally released way back in 2003, so you can take advantage of the new Amazoness monsters in the August release of Duelist Revolution set.
